It’s time to be the BEST version of you.

It’s time to be who God has called you to be and it’s always the right time to do what God has called you to do.

What is it that is holding you back from being the best version of yourself? Is it fear? Is it self doubt? Is it past mistakes or failures? Are you worrying about what others will think? Is it laziness or just not knowing where to start? Is it that you are not studying your Bible enough or spending time in worship?

Here are some motivating thoughts to the questions asked of you above:

Fear paralyzes us. When we are afraid we don’t move. We tend to go back to what is comfortable, easy, or familiar. With what God has placed inside of you and the things He has called you to do are too important to let fear stop you. You will have to do it afraid and with your eyes on Him.

If God has called you to it, He has equipped you for it. You may not feel qualified or gifted enough to do something but you are chosen. If God chose you that’s all you need to know. He will go before you and guide your footsteps.

Everyone makes mistakes, nobody’s perfect. We hear that phrase over and over again yet when it comes to us we feel like we are the exception. News Flash your not the exception. You are not defined by your mistakes. Yes, some mistakes are more costly than others however, God still uses those mistakes to get the glory out of your life. See, He knew every mistake you would make and still chose you. He already knew what road you would take and what was needed to get you to your destination. That mistake was already factored in. He still gave you missions here on earth to accomplish. He has given you a purpose. God’s plan for you is bigger than your mistakes. Stop remembering what God has already forgotten.

People talked about Jesus. They are going to talk about you, at least in their head and that will have to be okay. You are looking for God’s approval not mans. What does God say? Is He pleased? The world will never be in total agreement with who you are or what you do. Someone will always have something to say even if it what you are doing is amazing. So, I say to you, do it anyway. Join that ministry, volunteer your time, write that book, start that business, adopt those kids, begin that blog, open up that shop, visit that country, start that new career, etc. If God is pleased, trust me.. you will be too.

I know we all are doing so much. I think some of us (well I’ll speak for myself) may be overly busy. There just seems like not enough time in the day and well, after a long day of work I just want to do nothing. In order to use our gifts appropriately and do what God has called us to do, we are going to have to move. That means taking the necessary steps to prepare ourselves; work on completing tasks, find time to learn, listening to others, doing research, asking questions, praying, making those phone calls, filling out those forms, etc. We must learn exhibit discipline when it comes to choosing purpose over our present wants.

When you don’t know where to start, pray. Ask God for guidance. Ask people who have gone before you or have done what you desire to do how they began. Then trust God and start!

We cannot afford to be lazy or slack concerning our relationship with God. In order to know what steps to take, live in peace, and accomplish His plan for our life; spiritual discipline is important. Reading the Bible, spending time in prayer, fellowshipping with other believers, and worshipping God are requirements. In order to be the best version of yourself, it requires consistent and frequent contact with God our Father.

What I am hoping to say is, your purpose is too valuable not to pursue. At the end of the day what matters is God’s thoughts towards you. Use every gift God has given you to the glory of Him. Be the person unapologetically that God is calling you to be, flaws and all. Don’t sleep on yourself or God’s plans for your life. For you mam, you sir have greatness inside of you and are destined to do great things, your already equipped.

No more fear, worry, doubt, questioning, or looking back. Move ahead, It’s time to do what God said.

Some supporting scriptures:

“Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received and inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he make everything work out according to his plan.” ~ Ephesians 1:11

“You didn’t choose me. I chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit, so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name.” ~John 15:16

“If the world hates you, remember that it hated me first. The world would love you as one of its own if you belonged to it, but you are no longer part of the world. I chose you to come out of the world, so it hates you.” ~John 15:18-19
